ITINERARY

DAY 1
QUITO / ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival in Quito, your local guide will be waiting for you at the airport to assist you with your transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy free at your leisure.
At night:
Have an enjoyable night while enjoying a fantastic show at JACCHIGUA SHOW. With ninety dancers and musicians, the Best Ecuadorian National Folklore Ballet puts on stage a spectacular artistic choreography of Ecuador national dances. Considered a "living museum" in the world, Jacchigua takes you on tour through the cultural manifestations of several Ecuadorian Andean regions.

DAY 2
QUITO / CITY TOUR-HALF OF THE WORLD

After breakfast, embark on an exciting tour to explore Quito's historic centre while admiring the baroque and neo-colonial architecture of the well-preserved churches. Climb up to the Panecillo hill for spectacular views over Quito.
After touring the city centre, continue to visit the Middle of the World – the exact point where the Equator divides the globe into two hemispheres, the Southern and Northern hemispheres.

DAY 3
QUITO / OTAVALO MARKET

Begin your day driving North towards Otavalo city, located 91 km from Quito and named ''Ecuador's Intercultural Capital''. Otavalo's people are known for their textile and commercial skills, which gave birth to South America's largest indigenous craft market ''Mercado La Plaza de Los Ponchos'', popular known as, '' Mercado de Otavalo''.

DAY 4
QUITO / DEPARTURE DAY

After 4-wonderful days in the oldest city in South America, it is time to conclude the Historic Quito Tour. We hope you'll join us again to explore another part of South America!

VISAS
Please visit the relevant consular website of the countries you'll be visiting for more detailed and up-to-date visa information. If you need a visa, please obtain your visa in advance.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
Ecuador does not require any vaccination certificates from travellers to enter the country. However, travellers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines, especially when travelling through subtropical and tropical regions. Recommended vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine.

SAFETY
Quito is a safe city. However If you do find time to explore on your own, below are some key precautions to take:

Request a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you are a UBER fan, it's available in Quito.
Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
Do not carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers.
Avoid wearing fancy jewellery.
Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the arm of the chairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
At night, always walk on well-lit streets.
Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your pin number.
Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.

TRANSPORTATION
The radio-taxi system works well and is represented by yellow vehicles. We recommend ordering a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you prefer, you can also hail one from the street or use the Uber app. All radio taxis (yellow) work with meters.
