ITINERARY

DAY 1
RIO DE JANEIRO / ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, your local driver will be waiting for you at the airport to assist you with your transfer to your hotel in Copacabana Beach. Enjoy time at your leisure after checking into your hotel.
At night, enjoy a delicious Brazilian barbecue at one of the most- popular Brazilian barbecue restaurants, ''Fogo do Chao''.

DAY 2
RIO DE JANEIRO / CITY TOUR

Enjoy a full day city tour. Explore the historical sites of the marvelous city as the locals called it (Cidade Maravilhosa). Take a train ride up to the world's largest Art Deco statue (Christ Redeemer), walk on the colourful stairs (Selaron's stairs) known for its tiles brought from the world over, tour Rio's Cathedral. Take a look at the stage to the world's largest carnival parade, the Sambodromo and end the tour atop the impressive monolith of Sugar Loaf where you'll watch the fantastic sunset before getting back to your hotel.

Gafiera Samba Show: Enjoy a phenomenal night at a samba show while tasting delicious food.

DAY 3
RIO DE JANEIRO / BOAT RIDE

Enjoy some free time after breakfast, take a walk along Copacabana beach before embarking on and exciting tour to the most spectacular Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro. Walk through the garden while learning about the history hidden behind the garden. Take a walk on Ipanema beach before heading to the famous restaurant ''A Garota do Ipanema'' where the song writer Vinicius de Moraes composed the world famous song '' A Garota do Ipanema'' (The girl from Ipanema).
At night, enjoy a free night, delight yourself with a refreshing Caipirinha (Brasil most popular cocktail) in one of the local bars by Copacabana or Ipanema beach.

DAY 4
RIO DE JANEIRO / DEPARTURE DAY

After 4 wonderful days in the beautiful and vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, it is time to conclude the Best of Rio de Janeiro Tour. We hope you'll join us again to explore another part of South America!

VISAS
Please visit the relevant consular website of the countries you'll be visiting for more detailed and up-to-date visa information. If you need a visa, please obtain your visa in advance.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
Brazil does not require any vaccination certificates from travelers to enter the country. However, travelers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines. Recommended vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine.

SAFETY
Rio de Janeiro has safe areas to walk around. However it is still a large city. If you do find time to explore on your own, below are some key precautions to take:

Request a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you are more familiar with UBER which is available in the city, you can use the apps to call a UBER cab.
Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
Do not carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers.
Avoid wearing fancy jewelry.
Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the arm of the chairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
At night, always walk on well lit streets.
Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your pin number.
Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.

TRANSPORTATION
The radio-taxi system works well and are represented by yellow vehicles with a horizontal blue stripe. We recommend ordering a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you prefer, you can also hail one from the street. All radio taxis work with meters. Avoid paying with large bills.
If you wish to experience Rio's public transportation system, the easiest to use is the tube/underground/subway system called Metrô, available to reach most of the tourist areas and easy to use. You can purchase a card to be used for few days such as (Metrô cartão GIRO or Metrô cartão-Prépago). If you wish just to take a couple rides then buy the Metrô card (MetrôRio Unitario 01), only for one ride.
