Situated between the borders of Argentina and Brazil are the largest waterfalls system in the world. The falls divide the Iguazú River into the upper and lower Iguazú with most of the falls located on the Argentine side. Our friendly guide takes you through walkways from both sides so you can get panoramic, up close views of the spectacular waterfalls. We keep the adrenaline pumping with a biking adventure to end this action-packed 4 days trip. A truly unforgettable experience!

ITINERARY

DAY 1
PUERTO IGUAZU (ARGENTINA SIDE) / ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival, take a private transfer to your hotel followed by a guided exploration from the Argentina side, of the famous Iguazú Falls. Walk its trails along the river shore taking in all the beauty and sounds that together serve as the majestic setting to the Falls. Enjoy a fun speedboat ride giving you a close, personal view of the waterfalls. Get wet and feel the adrenaline of being so close to the falls when the boat moves in closer at each turn. Return to your hotel.

DAY 2
IGUAZU FALLS (BRASIL SIDE BY BIKE)

After breakfast, your local guide will take you on a cycling adventure* crossing over the border to Brazil towards the Brazilian Falls. Make a brief stop on the Tancredo Neves Bridge to enjoy scenic views of the landscape and spot the joining of 3 borders: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Once inside the National Park, be sure to stay alert for wildlife. Upon arrival to the Falls, walk an easy 2km downhill trail to enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the Falls. Your local guide can advise you about lunch options in the National Park. After touring the park, return to your hotel.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Helicopter Flight: take a 10 min helicopter flight over the falls to have another beautiful view from a different angle of the Falls

Bird Park: spot over 150 bird species at the bird park located in Foz do Iguazú near Iguazú National Park

DAY 3
PUERTO IGUAZU / BIKE THE JAGUAR ROAD

Take an early exciting biking excursion through a jungle road in search of the mystical felines, the Jaguars. Pedal from 10km to 40km (depends on your fitness level) on a dirt road while enjoying the jungle sounds and aromas. Along the way, have a glimpse of the jungle flora and fauna. Return to Puerto Iguazú by car for one final night.

DAY 4
PUERTO DE IGUAZU / DEPARTURE DAY

After a thrilling trip to one of the world's natural wonders, it is time to conclude this Active Iguazú Falls Tour. We hope you'll join us again to explore another part of South America!

VISAS
Please visit the relevant consular website of the countries you'll be visiting for more detailed and up-to-date visa information. If you need a visa, please obtain your visa in advance.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
Argentina does not require any vaccination certificates from travelers to enter the country. However, travelers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines, especially when traveling through Misiones (Iguazu Falls), Formosa, Corrientes, El Chaco, Salta and Jujuy. Recommended vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine. Since this trip takes you through Misiones Department, it is mandatory to have the YELLOW FEVER vaccine.

SAFETY
Puerto de Iguazú is a safe city. If you do find time to explore on your own, below are some key precautions to take:

Request a taxi service through the hotel staff.
Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
Do not carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers.
Avoid wearing fancy jewelry.
Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the arm of the chairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
Always take note of the serial numbers of your larger bills (ie: 100, 200, 500 and 1000 Argentinean Pesos) before paying taxi drivers and small shops. There were a few cases where travelers were told their bills were fake. By taking note of the serial numbers before use, you stand a better chance of getting your money back.
At night, always walk on well lit streets.
Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your pin number.
Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.

TRANSPORTATION
The radio-taxi system works well. We recommend ordering a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you prefer, you can also hail one from the street. All radio taxis (black & yellow) work with meters. Avoid paying with large bills. If smaller notes are not available, pay careful attention to the number that stretches across the top right corner of every bill before handing it over to the driver. Some taxi drivers will try and swap your money with a fake note, but if you have know the number of the bill you just gave him, you will have a better chance of getting your money back. Large notes come in 200, 500 and 1,000 peso denominations.
