ITINERARY

DAY 1
BUENOS AIRES / ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, a Pepe Concierge representative will be waiting for you at the airport who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel in Recoleta and with recommendations of what to do on your free afternoon.

At night, enjoy 1-hour tango show in one of the historical cafes. Transfer from/to the tango show is not included.

DAY 2
BUENOS AIRES / CITY TOUR

Begin a 6-hour city tour (via a private vehicle). Explore the historical sites such as the Obelisk, Teatro Colon, Plaza de Mayo, the world's widest avenue (Avenida 9 de Julio) and the cobblestone streets of San Telmo, known for its antique stalls and street performers dancing the tango. Tour La Boca, home to the famous La Boca Juniors soccer team and El Caminito a museum street full with blocks of picturesque colourful houses. Enjoy a visit to the most important opera house, Teatro Colon while walking through its lively beautifully decorated halls. Have a glimpse of Puerto Madero, a scenic waterfront boasting upscale restaurants, shops and the iconic Puente de la Mujer (woman's bridge). Finish your city tour with a trip to the Recoleta Cemetery to visit the grave of the Argentinian iconic woman, Eva Perón.

DAY 3
BUENOS AIRES / FREE DAY

Enjoy time at your leisure or try your hand at one of the thrilling cultural activities below.

OPTIONAL FULL DAY ACTIVITIES:

Polo Day: Enjoy an exciting day learning some polo skills while tasting delicious Argentina cuisine. Play a polo match, just like a pro.
El Delta del Tigre: Take a beautiful boat ride on Rio de La Plata to reach el Tigre while enjoying fantastic views photos of Buenos Aires. Conclude with a bus tour of El Tigre.
Gaucho Day: Tour the gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco learning their culture and customs and enjoying a delicious Argentine barbecue lunch.

OPTIONAL EVENING ACTIVITIES:

Tango lesson and Milonga (tango disco) visit: Participate in a fun tango lesson and join a tango disco to show your tango skill learned previously.

DAY 4
BUENOS AIRES / DEPARTURE DAY

After 4 wonderful days in our beloved city, it is time to conclude the Best of Buenos Aires Tour. We hope you'll join us again to explore another part of South America!

VISAS
Please visit the relevant consular website of the countries you'll be visiting for more detailed and up-to-date visa information. If you need a visa, please obtain your visa in advance.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
Argentina does not require any vaccination certificates from travellers to enter the country. However, travellers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines, especially when travelling through Misiones (Iguazu Falls), Formosa, Corrientes, El Chaco, Salta and Jujuy. Recommended vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine.

SAFETY
The common crime in Buenos Aires city is pickpocketing. Below are some key precautions to take:

Request a taxi service through the hotel staff. UBER is still fighting a long battle with the Argentinean authorities to operate in the country. However, the app is available. You can also hail a taxi on the street. Payments for taxi-rides and Uber have to be made in cash.
Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
Do not carry your wallet in your trousers back pocket.
Avoid wearing fancy jewellery.
Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the arm of the chairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
Always take note of the serial numbers of your larger bills (ie: 200, 500 and 1000 Argentinean Pesos) before paying taxi drivers and small shops. There were a few cases where travellers were told their bills were fake. By taking note of the serial numbers before use, you stand a better chance of getting your money back.
At night, always walk on well-lit streets.
Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your PIN.
Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.

TRANSPORTATION
The radio-taxi system works well and is represented by black and yellow vehicles. We recommend ordering a taxi service through the hotel staff. If you prefer, you can also hail one from the street. All radio taxis (black & yellow) work with meters. Avoid paying with large bills. If smaller notes are not available, pay careful attention to the number that stretches across the top right corner of every bill before handing it over to the driver. Some taxi drivers will try and swap your money with a fake note, but if you have to know the number of the bill you just gave him, you will have a better chance of getting your money back. Large notes come in 200, 500 and 1000 peso denominations.
