La Paz, Arrival Day
Day 1 Welcome to La Paz, the world’s highest capital city situated at more than 3,500m above sea level. A guide will assist you with your hotel transfer. If this is your first time visiting high altitudes, take time to rest, drink water and don't walk fast. Sleep also helps with acclimatizing your body. |
La Paz, City Tour
Day 2 Begin an exciting full day city tour through the iconic and historical sites of La Paz. Walkthrough the mysterious Witches' Market where you can find cure-alls, mystic ointments, medicinal plants and most notably, dried llama fetuses. Tour the historical Murillo Square, home to old colonial buildings and a popular meeting point for locals. Explore the maze of canyons and giant spires at El Valle de La Luna (Moon Valley). Take a cable car up to the world's highest city, El Alto, situated at 4,070m above sea level. Return to your hotel. Breakfast

La Paz, Sucre
Day 3 Head to the El Alto International Airport for your flight to Sucre, the first capital city of Bolivia. Begin an exciting tour of Sucre, known as the white city. Explore the general cemetery of Sucre. Marvel at the mini Eiffel tower designed by Gustave Eiffel. Visit the beautiful castle of Glorieta. Break briefly for lunch before finishing the day with a visit to the Cretaceous Park to learn about Bolivia's dinosaur era. Return to your hotel. Breakfast

Sucre, Potosi
Day 4 Go on a full-day tour of Potosi, home to Cerro Rico, one of the richest silver mountains during colonial times. Stop at the beautiful suspension bridge, Puente Arce set above the Pilcomayo River. Head to the mines of Potosi where silver extraction once took place. Join a guided tour through the Casa de la Moneda museum which houses coins and old machinery and tools for silver-making. Continue sightseeing before breaking for lunch at the Fogon restaurant where you can taste some special Bolivian delicacies. Return to Sucre in the afternoon. Breakfast, Lunch

Sucre, Uyuni
Day 5 Head to the airport for your flight to Uyuni, home to the world's largest salt lake. Take a guided tour of the train cemetery, a relic of train wagons forgotten in the middle of the harsh altiplano weather. Continue to the little town of Colchani before heading back to your hotel where you will have the rest of the evening free to spend at your leisure. Breakfast, Dinner

Uyuni, Salt Flats
Day 6 Onboard a 4x4 jeep begin a striking tour to the World's largest salt lake, Salar de Uyuni. Drive on the white-shining lake while enjoying outstanding views, take those longed awaited 3d photos and tour Incahuasi Island, home to Bolivia’s largest and oldest cactus plant. After lunch, make a couple more stops on the Salar de Uyuni (Salt Lake) before reaching your hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
