Iguazú Falls - Argentina: Take an early flight to Iguazú Falls to explore the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. From the airport, there are two ways to reach the National Park ofIguazú: by private transfer/taxi to Las Cataratas (Iguazú Falls) or by public bus. To purchase a bus ticket, head to the bus terminal located on the corner of Avenida Córdoba and Avenida Misiones. Ask for the stand to buy roundtrip tickets to Las Cataratas. You can also purchase a return ticket at the park but we recommend doing this as soon as you arrive.
Once you reach the park, start walking on the Green Trail (Sendero Verde) towards the Cataratas Train Station where you can take a 30 min train ride up to the La Garganta Station. From there, walk along the bridge path up towards La Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat), the park's most powerful and impressive waterfall. When ready, return the same way back to the Cataratas Train Station, stopping for a coffee or a quick bite at the restaurant area. Tour the Lower Trail (Circuito Inferior) for amazing views of the waterfalls or the Upper Trail (Circuito Superior) for closer views.
We suggest taking the La Gran Aventura Tour, a speed boat ride through the grand rapids of Iguazú River. This tour guarantees you'll get wet as they take you up close and under the waterfalls for an adrenaline filled adventure. Not to be missed!
Overnight in Iguazú.
Recommendations:
Take cash in pesos with you to pay for bus tickets, supplies and National Park fees (800 AR$).

Iguazú Falls - Brazil: Today, you'll visit the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls for beautiful panoramic photos. The best way to avoid the hassle of immigration is to travel by private transfer/taxi as your driver will take care of the border crossing process. By taking a private transport, you'll have more time to do the extra activities, such as taking a helicopter ride over the waterfalls and visiting the bird park, home to over 150 species.
For the more adventurous travelers, try the public transportation option. Head to the bus terminal and request information for the stand to purchase your tickets to Foz do Iguaçu - Brazil. You'll need to get off at the Argentinean immigration first to get your stamp out of Argentina. Before getting off the bus, request a ticket from the driver to take the next bus service. If you don't have this ticket, you will have to purchase a new one. After immigration, if you are lucky enough, you might be able catch the same bus if it waits for you. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the next bus service.
Your second stop on this adventure will be at the Brazilian immigration checkpoint. Here, you'll have to follow the same process as you did with the Argentinean immigration. You may need to wait again for the next bus service, remembering to request a ticket from the driver for the following bus.
The third stop will be at the bus stop on the corner of Rua Mem de Sa and Rua Taroba in the city of Foz do Iguazu-Brazil, right next to the Terminal de Transporte Urbano (TTU) where you can take the final bus to the waterfalls (Las Cataratas). The journey will take around 45 min. Once at the park, purchase a ticket to take the National Park bus to reach the waterfalls located 10 km from the National Park entrance. The bus will drop you off in front of one of Argentina's most exclusive hotels, Hotel Cataratas. Here, you will see a trail map which for some, may not be too useful as the walk is very easy, downhill, only one way.
All along the walk, there will be fantastic views of the waterfalls. As you make your way off the last path which ends at the edge of the river cliffs, take the lift up to the highest viewpoint. This is the last place where you can see the waterfalls. From here, walk to the parking lot to take the bus back to the park entrance. The journey back to Argentina will be in the same way you came. Overnight in Iguazú.
Recommendations:
Get Brazilian local currency (Reais) before heading to Brazil as bus tickets to the National Park can be paid only in Reais, the National Park fees (70 R$) can be paid by credit card or cash.
If you wish to take the helicopter ride, take it before getting into the park. Their office is located 100 meters from the National Park.
If you wish to pay a visit to the bird park, we recommend doing so after your visit to the park.
Bring your passport with you.
