This exclusive 10-day yoga retreat tour will take you on a journey through grand granite mountains, impressive glaciers, and magnificent landscapes while performing yoga at the break of day. From the Patagonian steppes to the awe-inspiring granite peaks of Torres del Paine, to the splendid Perito Moreno Glacier, to a traditional working Patagonian estancia, there is no shortage of things to see and do on this tour. We begin and end our adventures in the romantic city of Buenos Aires.

ITINERARY

DAY 1
BUENOS AIRES / CITY TOUR

Our journey begins in Buenos Aires, known as “The Paris of South America” for its buildings that display beautiful French architecture-style. This romantic city will be our starting and ending point on this trip, and here is where you can enjoy an aromatic glass of Malbec wine and taste the best steak.

DAY 2
BUENOS AIRES / EL CALAFATE

Start the day with an energetic yoga session followed by breakfast. Take a private transfer to the local airport to catch your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3
EL CALAFATE / PERITO MORENO GLACIER TOUR

Start your day with a revitalising yoga session followed by an energetic breakfast. Onboard a private van, drive Southwest off El Calafate to begin a thrilling guided private excursion of one of the most beautiful glaciers in Patagonia, Perito Moreno.

DAY 4
EL CALAFATE / TORRES DEL PAINE

Kick off your day with a yoga session followed by a delicious breakfast. Then you’ll be picked up in your hotel for your transfer to Cerro Castillo (Chilean border). Get off at the Argentine border first to complete border procedures and then continue to reach the Chilean border. After entering Chile, meet your Chilean local guide and enjoy a cup of coffee in the Ovejero cafe before heading to your hotel las Torres in TDP.

DAY 5
TORRES DEL PAINE / LAS TORRES TREK

Start your day with an energetic yoga session followed by an energising breakfast. Afterwards, along with your trekking guide, begin a hiking adventure up to the Towers of Paine (Las Torres del Paine), three-granite outstanding peaks considered the World’s fifth most beautiful place.
Along the trail, enjoy hiking through the Magellanic forest with great views of the Ascencio Valley and the Paine mountain range as you approach the towers.

DAY 6
TORRES DEL PAINE / EL CHALTEN

At dawn, be part of a vitalising yoga session before starting your day. After breakfast, onboard a private van, you’ll make your way back to the Chilean border. After completing the border procedures to exit Chile, you will continue the journey to the Argentina border, then to your final destination, El Chalten.

DAY 7
EL CHALTEN / FITZ ROY TREK

After a vigorous yoga class, enjoy a delicious breakfast. We will take a 35 min ride to Estancia El Pilar, where we’ll begin a thrilling hike up to the Fitz Roy summit viewpoint. Hike through the Magellan forest and enjoy great views of the beautiful scenery while keeping an eye open for giant woodpeckers. The beautiful birds spend hours pecking on trees. After reaching the viewpoint, take your time to enjoy your lunch-box while viewing the impressive Fitz Roy peak.
Return to El Chalten.

DAY 8
EL CHALTEN / CERRO TORRE TREK

Start your day with a zippy yoga class. Then, enjoy an energetic breakfast before heading off the town to the trailhead of Cerro Torre. The path includes some small ascents and descents until reaching a valley where the trail gets gentler. Cerro Torre is the spikiest needle of all summits within the mountain range along the Patagonian icefield, a dream peak for climbers.

DAY 9
EL CHALTEN / BUENOS AIRES

Enjoy your last yoga session in the pristine Patagonian land. After breakfast, you will be transferred to El Calafate airport for your flight ahead to return to the romantic city of Buenos Aires. Along the ride, enjoy views of the dry Patagonian steppes. We will make a stopover at the historical cafe La Leona where you can delight yourself with a piece of their best dessert, a lemon meringue pie.
Then we will continue to the airport El Calafate.

DAY 10
BUENOS AIRES / DEPARTURE DAY

Today, have an enjoyable and relaxing yoga session before embarking on a transfer to the international airport to take your flight back home.
After an 11-day journey in the pristine region of Patagonia, we hope you have had a gratifying trip. And we hope to see you again on another adventure.

Our itineraries are guidelines to follow day-by-day. However, some changes may occur prior to departure or during the tour due to weather conditions, seasonal changes that can alter timetables, flight schedules and transport routes. These changes can happen with little notice so please be prepared for alterations along the route. Bear in mind on occasion, the timing of included activities in each location may also differ from the timetable written on your itinerary.

We always work hard to make sure you have the best holiday experience. Nevertheless, things can and do go wrong occasionally due to the nature of travel. VISAS
Please visit the relevant consular website of the countries you'll be visiting for more detailed and up-to-date visa information. If you need a visa, please obtain your visa in advance.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
The Patagonia region is sprawled across two countries, Argentina and Chile. Both countries do not require any vaccination certificates from travelers to enter the country. However, travelers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines, especially when traveling through Misiones (Iguazu Falls), Formosa, Corrientes, El Chaco, Salta and Jujuy. Recommended vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine.

SAFETY
All cities that you will be traveling through on this tour are very safe. If you do find time to explore on your own in the city of Buenos Aires, below are some key precautions to take:

Request a taxi service through the hotel staff. UBER is available in major cities.
Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
Do not carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers.
Avoid wearing fancy jewellery.
Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the armchairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
Always take note of the serial numbers of your larger bills (ie: 200, 500 and 1000 Argentinean Pesos before paying taxi drivers. There were a few cases where travellers were told their bills were fake. By taking note of the serial numbers before paying, you can catch the fraud.
At night, always walk on well-lit streets.
Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your pin number.
Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.

TRANSPORTATION
The radio-taxi system works well and is represented by black and yellow vehicles in major cities. If you prefer to hail one from the street, call a radio taxi (black & yellow), all taxis work with meters. Avoid paying with large bills. The easy local transportation available in Buenos Aires is the underground which works in straight lines. A card is needed calling SUBE which you can purchase at most metro stations.
