ITINERARY
DAY 1
QUITO / ARRIVAL DAY
Upon arrival at the airport in Quito, your driver will transfer you to your hotel. Your tour leader will organise a welcome meeting this afternoon. Then, at night, enjoy the first group dinner.
DAY 2
QUITO CITY TOUR
Start an exciting tour through the city of Quito, proudly called Half of the World by Ecuadorians.
Explore the iconic historical sites of Quito downtown, such as the Main Square, Presidential Palace, Cathedral, Archbishop Palace, La Compañia de Jesus and San Francisco Churches, among others. Take a cable car ride up to Cruz Loma for spectacular views over Quito. Continue to the so-called Half of the World Site, Latitude 0´0´0’.
Return to the hotel for a relaxing time.

DAY 3
QUITO / BALTRA / PUERTO AYORA (GALAPAGOS)
Take a flight to Baltra in Galápagos. Upon arrival, catch a small ferry to cross over the Itabaca channel and then transfer to Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz).
Onboard a boat, take an afternoon excursion to explore Daphne (bird nests watching), Borrero (beach walk, swim and snorkel with sea lions) and Pinzon (snorkel with reef sharks and turtles) islands.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 4
SANTA CRUZ / FLOREANA
Embark on a thrilling excursion, starting with a boat ride to Floreana island, located 61 km/38 miles from Santa Cruz. Once on the island, take a walk in Cormorant point bay to see sea lions, turtles, frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies. We’ll make a lunch stop along the tour. Then, we’ll snorkel in the clear waters of the Enderville islet, where if nature allows us, we might see marine fauna. Besides, we will sail around to see spectacular rock caves from onboard.
We’ll return to our hotel in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz.

DAY 5
SANTA CRUZ / ISABELA
Travel to Puerto Villamil, situated on Isabela Island, where we’ll tour the “Las Tintoreras” islet, home to numerous colonies of marine iguanas, sea lions and the white-tip reef sharks.
Snorkel or swim with playful sea lions, penguins and marine green turtles.
Enjoy a walk through the wetlands to see red flamingos.
Return to the hotel.

Take an exciting dive tour to explore the marine wildlife. USD 120, including equipment.

DAY 6
ISABELA / SANTA CRUZ
Today, take a boat back to Puerto Ayora (Sta Cruz). In the afternoon, visit the Fausto Llerena tortoise breeding centre to learn about their work on preserving the tortoise population of various species and see the embalmed body of Lonesome George, the last of its kind. Visit the Darwin station to see the fantastic job this station does to protect the archipelago's natural resources.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore Puerto Ayora, take a walk to Las Grietas or swim on one of the 10 Top Beaches in the World: Tortuga Bay.
A water taxi to Las Grietas/Tortuga Bay is available for USD 10 (Puerto Ayora - Tortuga Bay 3km/1.9 miles).
We will have our last group supper in Galápagos.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore Puerto Ayora, take a walk to Las Grietas or swim on one of the 10 Top Beaches in the World: Tortuga Bay.

DAY 7
SANTA CRUZ / BALTRA / QUITO
After five exciting days in Galápagos, take a flight to get back to Quito. Start with a transfer to the Itabaca channel, then take a ferry to cross over the Itabaca channel, followed by a bus ride to reach Baltra airport.
In Quito, take a transfer to the hotel. Enjoy time at your leisure.
Optional activity:
Take a tour of the Mercado Artesanal, which opens until 6:00 pm. Here, you can buy local souvenirs, coffee and other typical items. Let your tour leader know if you wish to visit the market to arrange it for you.

QUITO / DEPARTURE DAY
Concluding your Quito - Galápagos tour. We hope you join us again to explore another part of South America!
