Geneva (Switzerland) - Chamonix (France)
DAY 1 Upon your arrival at Geneva airport, you will join the group transfer to Chamonix.
The driving to the beautiful commune of Chamonix located in France will take around 2 hours. After the hotel check-in process, you can enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Tonight, we will meet to talk about our trekking itinerary ahead then we will have a lovely meal in a local restaurant where you can taste the typical food of the French Alps, the Tartiflette. |
Chamonix - Free day (France)
Day 2 Enjoy a day off, explore the beautiful commune of Chamonix or get involved in one of the following optional tours y/o activities.
- Paragliding, enjoy the sound of the wind while your eyes are distracted from the beautiful view over the Chamonix Valley. - Flight, this incredible flight will take you over the imposing Massif of the Mont Blanc. - Take the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi footbridge to appreciate spectacular views of the Alps mountain range. Chamonix - Argentière (France)
Day 3 We will walk our first steep path towards the Mont Blanc circuit trail. Then we will follow the trail towards the Argentière commune. Enjoy spectacular views of the Alps landscape. Keep your eyes opened for some wildlife (mountain goats Ibex or eagles flying over the area). In Argentière, after checking-in into our hotel, have time to rest before going out for dinner.

Argentière (Fr) - Col de la Forclaz (Swi)
Day 4 We will start our walk towards the Col de la Forclaz, located in Switzerland. The trail will take us into the forest through sharp bends, but at the end of the climb, enjoy the beautiful view of Chamonix embedded in the valley. Along the way, we might a stop at one of the Chalets to have a drink. We will pass through the Col de Balme that is the border between France and Switzerland. We'll do a steep climb up to our final destination, Col de la Forclaz. Along the trail, enjoy the green alpine scenery and keep an eye opened for the curious furry rodents, the marmots.

Col de la Forclaz - Champex (Swi)
Day 5 Today, we will walk through the cattle route (Bovine route). Every year the cow fighting competition is held in the area, where the winner cow will get chosen as the Queen. Today's hike is short, but like any other mountain trail, includes some slopes, descents and flat ground. If there is room at Café Buvette, we will stop for a coffee and a sweet bite. In Champex, we will cross part of the small city to reach our hotel.

Champex - La Fouly (Swi)
Day 6 Today's hike is considered an easy one. The trail includes mostly downhills with gentle slopes close to our destination La Fouly. Enjoy beautiful views of the remote villages and the green meadows up to the small town of La Fouly, where we will spend the night.
NOTE: tonight, pack a sleeping sheet-liner and personal hygiene items in your day pack due to no access to our main luggage tomorrow night. Breakfast, Dinner

La Fouly (Swi) - Bonatti (It)
Day 7 Today we will spend a beautiful day walking through the mountains, ascending towards the Gran Col Ferret, the highest pass in the Mont Blanc circuit (2573m) which is the border between Switzerland and Italy. We will take a short break to enjoy an aromatic Italian coffee then our adventure continues with an ascent to the Bonetti Refuge.
Due to no roads up to the refuge, the transfer vehicle will not deliver our main luggage. Breakfast, Dinner

Refugio Bonatti - Courmayeur (Italy)
Day 8 We will start our walk to the city known for having the best ice cream, Courmayeur. Throughout our hike we will keep enjoying beautiful landscapes and if the weather allows, a phenomenal view of the Maziso Mont Blanc. Today's hike demands to keep an eye on your next step due to some loose ground. At Courmayeur, we will walk to our hotel to enjoy some free time before dinner. Tonight you can enjoy a delicious Italian dinner (pasta with pesto, pizza and ice cream).

Courmayeur (It) - Les Chapieux (Fr)
Day 9 Today's hike includes a long ascend (2,300 m), some descends and a short route flat trail. We have an opportunity to stop at Elizabetta refuge to enjoy a drink or to enjoy views of the beautiful surroundings.
We will cross over the Col de la Seigne that marks the border between Italy and France then we will continue with a long descent to Les Chapieux. Breakfast, Dinner

Les Chapieux - Les Contamines (Fr)
Day 10 We will start the day with a long ascent from Les Chapieux to refuge De la Croix du Bonhomme, gaining an elevation of around 900 m. If the energy accompanies you, we will deviate from the head trail towards the summit Tête Nord des Fours (2756m), where we will have an imposing landscape view. We will continue with a long descent to Les Contamines.

Les Contamines - Les Houches (Fr)
Day 11 Today we have a bit of a challenging hike. The trail includes an ascend of 600 m on a winding path towards the Col de Tricot known as the Tricot Challenge and a suspended bridge crossing. Stop at the Chalets de Miage to enjoy a local delicacy, a blueberry tartare.

Les Houches - Chamonix (Fr)
Day 12 Today is our last day in this thrilling circuit, we will have many climbs to go but the reward for the effort, if the weather is good, will be the enjoyment of the best views of the beautiful Mont Blanc mountain and the Chamonix Valley. At the hotel, we will enjoy some free time before our last supper.
