ITINERARY
DAY 1
BALTRA ISLAND / PUERTO AYORA (STA CRUZ) / ARRIVAL DAY
Upon arrival at Baltra island’s airport, transfer to Baltra’s port to take a ferry over the Itabaca channel to reach Santa Cruz Island. Take a ride through the highlands of Santa Cruz island, and visit a private farm, where you’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch. Take a walk through a beautiful natural environment while observing the giant Galapagos Tortoises and a diversity of bird species.

DAY 2
PUERTO AYORA (STA CRUZ)
Enjoy time at one of the most beautiful beaches of the Galapagos on Tortuga Bay. Walk on the soft coral sand beach while spotting colonies of marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, marine birds and mangroves, cacti forest and interesting coastal flora. Visit the breeding centre of giant tortoises, Fausto Llerena, where the embalmed body of the ancient and worldwide known Lonesome George Tortoise is resting. Take a short visit to the Charles Darwin museum.

DAY 3
PUERTO AYORA (STA CRUZ) / PTO V. IBARRA (FLOREANA) / PTO VILLAMIL (ISABELA)
Take a 2.5-hours journey to Puerto Velasco Ibarra, situated on Floreana Island. Visit Puerto Velasco Ibarra, the habitat for a sea lion's colony and marine iguanas. Take an exciting ride on a local bus (CHIVA) to the island's hilly area, where we will visit the historic caves of Asilo de Paz (a Shelter of Peace). Continuing with the tour, visit the tortoises' pens and enjoy a delicious lunch before taking a 2.5 hours boat ride to Puerto Villamil, situated on Isabela Island.

DAY 4
PTO VILLAMIL (ISABELA)
Onboard a local boat, sail to “Las Tintoreras” islet. Habitat to numerous colonies of marine iguanas, sea lions, and white-tip reef sharks known in Spanish as Tintoreras. A great place to snorkel or take a swim with playful sea lions, penguins and marine green turtles. Return to the hotel for a nice meal.
Take a local bus to visit the giant tortoises breeding centre, Arnaldo Tupiza, where you’ll spot a few endemic species and learn about the hard work done by the National Park to protect such species. Walk through a wetlands field, habitat to 4 species of mangroves, and numerous species of birds, including flamingoes, lapwings and marine iguanas.
Optional activity.
If you are more adventurous and fit, you can opt to involve in this optional activity. Tour the Sierra Negra volcano, where you’ll find an incredible giant crater, known as the world’s second-largest crater, after the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania.

PTO VILLAMIL (ISABELA) / PTO AYORA (STA CRUZ)
Today, we will return to Santa Cruz Island. Take A 3-hour journey back to Puerto Ayora. Along the way, keep an eye open for marine turtles, stingrays, several species of sea birds and dolphins.
Explore the coastline of Santa Cruz island, populated by playful sea lions, blue-footed and Nazca boobies. Visit a paradisiac site (German Bay), where you will take a walk to Canal del Amor (channel of love). Tour Caamaño Islet and Playa de Los Perros (dogs’ beach) surrounded by dry forest and a rocky shoreline. At last, take a swim in Las Grietas (The Cracks). We’ll return to our hotel, where we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner.

DAY 6
PUERTO AYORA (STA CRUZ) / BALTRA / DEPARTURE DAY
Before heading to Baltra airport, visit the natural formation known as the Craters Los Gemelos (the twins). The craters area has a proper microclimate. And it is surrounded by a Scalesia forest which is the habitat for bromeliads, orchids, moss, lichens and many species of birds (scarlet flycatchers, Darwin finches and short-eared owls). Continue the journey to Itabaca Channel, take a ferry to cross the channel, and then a bus transfer to Baltra airport. Your local guide will help you to find the airline counter.

HEALTH AND CERTIFICATIONS
Most countries in South America do not require any vaccination certificates from travellers to enter the countries. However, travellers should stay up-to-date on their vaccines including measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, hepatitis A, B, typhoid, rabies and yellow fever vaccine. If your itinerary includes subtropical and tropical regions/areas, it's recommended to vaccinate against Hepatitis B and yellow fever.

SAFETY
Safety in the Galapagos Islands is not a concern at all. However, pickpocketing is a common crime in some large cities. If you do find time to explore on your own, below are some key precautions to take:
TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation in some countries is not well organised. However, in some large cities, public transportation is really organised and available to reach tourist areas. To use public transportation, please ask the hotel staff for detailed information.
Another way to move around is through radio taxis. Some countries have the taxi system regulated such as Brasil, Chile, Argentina where taxis use meters, other countries, taxis have not been regulated (no taximeters) which means you must negotiate the taxi fare first before getting into a taxi. Otherwise, risk paying the foreigner price. From/to the International Airport, you should arrange a taxi with your hotel or a transfer company prior to arrival/departure for a fixed fare.

- Request a taxi service through the hotel staff. You can also call UBER which operates in a few cities.
- Wear your backpack/bag to the front when walking through bigger crowds.
- Do not carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers.
- Avoid wearing fancy jewellery.
- Leave original documents, credit cards in the hotel safe box, taking the bare minimum of cash with you. It’s always a good idea to hide cash in different parts of your clothes.
- A neck/waist money belt can be very handy to keep cash hidden.
- In restaurant/cafes, do not hang your bag/backpack on the arm of the chairs or leave it sitting on the floor.
- Withdraw cash only during the day and from ATMs located inside banks or guarded ATMs.
- Cover ATMs keyboard with one hand when typing your PIN.
- Do not get into a car by someone’s invitation, even if it's a police car.
